Dick Grayson Takes Up The Cowl

Dick Grayson, the original Robin, has taken up the cape and cowl Batman, and Damian Wayne, the assassin-raised son of Bruce Wayne, has become a deadly new Robin — ready to fight crime by any means necessary.

​The new Dynamic Duo hit the streets with a bang in their new flying Batmobile as they face off against an assemblage of villains called the Circus of Strange. But can this new Dynamic Duo find a way to work together? This series was named by James Gunn as an influence for Gods and Monsters, the first chapter of the new DC Universe film and television slate which will re-establish the DC pantheon of heroes. The story inspires the upcoming film THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, which is the Batman-centric offering.

Although the film is still in development, the concept is presumably based on a Batman anthology from the mid-1950s which began the trend of the superhero "team up." In the original comic book series, Batman joins forces with the likes of Superman and other DC superheroes. In Gunn's version, the team up will apparently be Batman and Damian Wayne — and presumably Dick Grayson will be in the mix somewhere as he is actually the man in the cowl in Batman Reborn as Bruce Wayne has vanished.
